Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Your privacy matters — especially because Mompanian is built on trust. You share your real life with us: your worries, your schedule, your family. We take that seriously, so this policy tells you plainly what we collect, why, who else touches it, and how to get rid of it.

Here's what we commit to, always:

  • We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.
  • You can delete your data at any time — any item from inside the app, or your whole account by asking us.
  • We use your data to run the service you asked for — not to build a profile of you.
  • We store the minimum we need, and we tell you below exactly what that is.

Who we are

Mompanian is a voice-first companion for mothers — it remembers your family's details and handles the assembling so you don't have to. This policy covers the Mompanian app at app.mompanian.com and this website at mompanian.com.

For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@mompanian.com — a real person reads it.

What we collect

Almost everything below is something you chose to tell us. We collect it because the service cannot work without it, not because we want a bigger pile of data.

  • Your account: email address, name, and profile photo if you add one.
  • Your preferences: timezone, country, languages, and your data-retention setting.
  • Your family: the profiles you create for your children and others you care for — relationship, birth date, and any notes you add.
  • School details you enter for a child: school, grade, teacher, teacher contact, and notes.
  • Health details you enter for a family member: conditions, allergies, medications, appointments, and the provider.
  • Schedules, contacts, saved places, and home or property addresses you add.
  • Voice: recordings you make in the app, the transcripts of them, and the summaries we build from them.
  • Documents and photos you upload, plus the text we extract from them.
  • Notes and facts you save, and the reminders, tasks, and events you create.
  • Anonymous usage analytics — see below.

Why we collect it

To run the assistant: understanding what you ask for, creating your reminders, tasks, and calendar events, and keeping track of your family's details so you don't have to repeat yourself. To respond in a way that fits how your day is actually going. And, in anonymous form only, to understand which parts of the product help so we can improve them.

Voice

When you talk to Mompanian, your audio is sent to our voice providers (Google and OpenAI, and Deepgram for speech-to-text) to be turned into text and answered. We store the transcript of the conversation and a short summary, so the assistant can remember context next time. You can delete voice sessions, and deleting your account deletes all of them.

Voice recordings can identify a person. We treat them as some of the most sensitive data we hold, and we never put transcript content into analytics.

Documents and photos you upload

When you send a school memo, a PDF, or a photo, we upload it to our storage and send it to Google Vision and to our AI providers so the text can be read and turned into a draft note, events, or reminders for you to review. Original files are deleted 30 days after you confirm a document; small thumbnails are kept for a year so your document list still makes sense. You can delete any document immediately, which removes the file too.

Google Calendar

Connecting Google Calendar is entirely optional, and Mompanian works without it. If you do connect it, here is exactly what happens:

  • We request two permissions: read-only access to your list of calendars, and access to events on the calendars you pick.
  • We read the list of your calendars so you can choose which ones Mompanian should show, and which ones it should write to.
  • We read events from the calendars you enable, so your schedule appears in the app alongside everything else.
  • We create, update, and delete events only on the calendars you explicitly select as write targets.
  • We store the access tokens Google gives us so the connection keeps working. We do not store your Google password — we never see it.
  • We do not read your Gmail, contacts, files, or anything else. We only ask for calendar permissions.

You can disconnect at any time from Settings → Calendar in the app. Disconnecting revokes our access with Google and deletes the stored tokens and your calendar preferences. You can also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page. Events Mompanian already created stay on your calendar until you delete them.

Mompanian's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to train AI models, we do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the features you asked for.

Your children's and family's information

Mompanian is for adults. Children do not use the service and cannot create accounts. What we hold about a child is information you chose to enter about your own child, so that the assistant can help you manage their week.

By entering details about a child or another family member, you are confirming you have the right to share that information. We use it only to provide the service to you. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never included in analytics. Sensitive free-text fields — a child's notes, school notes, and medical titles and details — are encrypted at rest in our database. You can delete any profile, or your whole account, at any time.

Health information

Medical details you record about a family member are among the most sensitive things we hold. They are encrypted at rest, used only to answer your own requests, never sold, and never included in analytics. Mompanian is not a medical service and does not give medical advice.

Analytics

We keep anonymous usage data so we can tell whether a feature helps. User IDs in analytics are hashed with a salt that rotates monthly, no personal information goes into analytics tables, and the content of your notes, transcripts, and documents never does. Raw analytics events are kept 30 days and diagnostic records 14 days.

You can choose how long we keep your data in Settings → Privacy. If you would like analytics switched off for your account entirely, email us and we will do it.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to run Mompanian. They process your data on our instructions, for the purposes below, and for nothing else. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

ProviderWhat they doProcessed in
SupabaseDatabase, sign-in, and file storage — this is where your account and your data live.Singapore
VercelHosting for the app and this website.Singapore (app servers)
GoogleCalendar (only if you connect it), Gemini for voice and language understanding, Vision for reading documents you upload, and Maps/Places for nearby suggestions.United States
OpenAIVoice conversations and language understanding.United States
DeepgramTurning speech into text and text into speech.United States
SendGridSending you email, such as sign-in and notification messages.United States

Your account data is stored in Singapore. Some providers above process data in the United States, which means your information may be transferred outside your country to deliver the service you asked for.

How long we keep it

  • Your content stays until you delete it, or until your account is deleted.
  • Deleting an account starts a 30-day grace period, then everything is permanently purged — including uploaded files.
  • Original uploaded documents are deleted 30 days after you confirm them; thumbnails are kept for a year.
  • Anonymous analytics events are kept 30 days; diagnostic records 14 days.
  • You can change how long we keep your data in Settings → Privacy.

Your rights

You can see, correct, and delete anything you have given us from inside the app — any note, document, family profile, or voice session.

To delete your whole account, or to get a copy of your data, email privacy@mompanian.com and we will take care of it. Account deletion has a 30-day grace period in case you change your mind, after which everything is permanently purged — tell us if you would rather we purge it immediately, and we will.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent. Write to privacy@mompanian.com and we will help.

Security

Sensitive free-text fields are encrypted at rest. Analytics identifiers are hashed. Access to production data is restricted, and administrative actions are written to an audit log. No service can promise perfect security, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we would rather hold less of your data than defend more of it.

Age

You must be 18 or older to create a Mompanian account. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. If you believe a child has created one, email us and we will remove it.

Our free tools (like the Invisible Load Receipt)

Some tools on this site — such as the Invisible Load Receipt — work without an account. Here is exactly how they handle what you share:

  • What you type or say is processed once to generate your result, then discarded. We do not store it, link it to you, or use it to train AI.
  • If you add your name or the number of kids you care for, those stay in your browser — they are never sent to our servers.
  • We keep only anonymous counts (for example, how many receipts were created and how many line items they had). Never the content.
  • If you give us your email address, we store it only for the purpose you gave it for.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
